Itinerary
Day 1
QUILOTOA VOLCANO AND HIS MAGIC
Enjoy a wonderful trip to the most impressive volcano in the western Andes, known as Quilotoa or Quiru Toa, which means "The Princess's Tooth". This is a fantastic journey through stunning mountain scenery, stopping along the way to visit local Andean communities, during this full-day tour.
Travel along the spectacular 'Avenida de los Volcanes' that passes under its high peaks, you will stop at a town in the community of Paramos and the city of Painters known as Tigua, where you will explore a local house, learn about their customs; admire their art and crafts.
Finally, you will visit the lagoon inside the Quilotoa volcano (you can choose to walk to the lagoon or just admire it from the viewpoint). Also, after the hike, you can ride a mule back to the viewpoint. At this point you will enjoy a nice typical lunch in an indigenous restaurant famous for its potato soup.
