Two of the most charming villages that are near Cuenca. These villages are well known for their traditional crafts: macanas (shawls) made of alpaca wool, filigree jewelry, pottery, miniature pottery, Panama hats and more. Our first stop will be Chordeleg, famous for its silversmiths and jewelers, we will visit a workshop to observe a craftsman making fabulous creations of silver filigree. Then we will have time to get to know the city and take a look at the local jewelry stores. Our tour continues to Gualaceo, where we will make a stop at your typical food market, there we will learn about local products and the famous "Hornado", roast pork, one of the most typical dice here. Alternatively, we have a lunch option in a restaurant. Our last stop will be in the workshop of macanas (shawls) and ponchos made in very traditional looms, using dyes extracted from plants.
